Middlebrick Department of Public Safety
MDPS is a division of local government tasked with ensuring adequate safety services are provided to the residents and visitors of Middlebrick and that the quality of these services are of the highest standards.
MDPS encompasses all of the safety forces of Middlebrick, from the Fire Department to the Police and EMS services. All heads of each respective department sit on the board of directors and report to the Director of Public Safety with any concerns or needs.
MDPS does not directly control any individual department but rather acts as a supporting entity as well as a moderator, to ensure that services are world class, public safety is continually enhanced, and budgets are kept under control. MDPS also assists in applying for grants on behalf of each service.
MDPS also works with the federal government and other entities to form large incident and crisis response plans and maintain positive morale and report with neighboring departments. However, any specific agreements involving automatic aid or mutual aid is handled by the respective department directly.
